Text messages from Green's

Short version: Green's Holiday Lighting Pros texts you about the job you asked about, and separately about offers only if you tick the second box. Reply STOP to either and it stops.

What these messages are

Green's Holiday Lighting Pros, a holiday and permanent lighting company working out of White House, Tennessee, sends two kinds of text message, and you agree to them separately.

The first is about your own job: confirming a walkthrough, scheduling an install, a service call or a takedown, quotes and estimates, and answering a question you have asked. You agree to these by ticking the first box when you ask for an estimate.

The second is marketing: seasonal offers, discounts and service updates. You agree to these by ticking the second box. It is optional, it is never ticked for you, and leaving it blank does not stop you from booking or from getting the messages about your job. Agreeing to either one is not a condition of buying anything and does not change the price.

How often they come

Message frequency varies. Messages about your own job come when something about the job changes, so they cluster around a walkthrough, an install and a takedown. Marketing messages, if you have agreed to them, are occasional and are heaviest in the run-up to the season.

Cost

Green's does not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your own plan and carrier.

How to stop them

Reply STOP to any message and that kind of message stops. You get one confirmation that it has stopped, and then nothing further. Stopping the marketing messages does not stop the ones about your own job, and stopping either does not cancel any work.

You can also say so on the phone. Call (629) 500-3218 and ask to be taken off.

How to start them again

If you have stopped the messages and want them back, reply START to the same number they came from. You can also tick the box again the next time you ask for an estimate, or call (629) 500-3218 and say so. Each kind of message is separate, so starting one does not start the other.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message and you get a reply naming the business and this phone number. Or call (629) 500-3218 and speak to somebody.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Whether a message arrives depends on your carrier's network and coverage, which is not something Green's controls.

How this program is run

These messages are sent in line with the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and with the carrier rules that apply to business text messaging. A number is added only from a box somebody ticked themselves, the two kinds of message are kept separate because they were agreed to separately, and an opt out is honored on the number it came from.

The law this sits under

This program is run under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Federal Communications Commission rules made under it, together with any state law that applies in Tennessee. Nothing here takes away a right you have under a law that cannot be signed away.

Who can agree to these

You have to be 18 years of age or older to agree to receive text messages from Green's. The messages are meant for people in the United States.

What happens to your number

Your mobile number is used to reach you about the work and, if you agreed to it, to send the marketing messages described above. It is not sold and it is not passed to anyone for their own marketing. The full rule, and what this site does with everything else you send, is on the privacy policy. What the website itself is, and what a price on it means, is on the terms page.

Changes to these terms

These terms are updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page is the version that applies, and a change takes effect when it is posted here.
