How do I get a lighting estimate?
- Tell Green's about the property and what you are looking to light. A member of the team will look over the project, answer any early questions and help work out the next step. Most projects need an on-site walkthrough before a final number.
Does Green's supply the lights?
- Yes. Green's supplies the lighting for every installation it does. Green's does not hang lights supplied by the customer, and does not work on Govee systems, so everything installed is the company's own stock.
What forms of payment does Green's accept?
- All major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, plus cash and check.
Can Green's provide references?
- Yes. On request Green's will provide a list of past commercial and residential customers.
Permanent lighting questions
What is permanent roofline lighting?
- A low-profile track of individually addressable LEDs fitted along the roofline and left in place year round. Nothing goes up for a season and nothing comes down afterwards, which is the difference between a permanent system and a seasonal install.

Can permanent lighting be used for more than Christmas?
- Yes. The same roofline runs warm white on an ordinary evening, team colors on a game day, red, white and blue for the Fourth, or a custom look for a birthday, a party or an event.
Can permanent lighting be controlled from a phone?
- Yes. Colors, brightness, schedules and saved scenes are all set from an app, so the roofline can change without anyone putting a ladder against the house.
Are permanent lights visible during the day?
- The lights sit inside the channel, so from the curb the installation reads as a shadow line along the eave when it is off. It is designed to blend into the house rather than disappear.
How much does permanent lighting cost?
- Permanent lighting is quoted at the property. The price follows the linear feet of roofline and how the house is built, and no two rooflines measure the same, so Green's measures on site rather than giving a number over the phone.
Christmas lighting questions
When does Green's install Christmas lights?
- Installs begin in October and run through the middle of December. Booking earlier gives you more choice of dates.
How much does professional Christmas light installation cost?
- For a seasonal install, most installs start around $1,200 to $1,500 depending on the house. What moves the number is how much roofline there is to light and how the house is put together, so the final figure comes from a walkthrough.

What happens if part of my display stops working?
- Through the season, lighting and decor on a Green's install is repaired free of charge, within 24 to 48 hours of a maintenance request.
Does Green's take the Christmas lights down?
- Yes, takedown is part of the seasonal service. It begins January 1 and Green's makes every effort to have all lights removed by January 21. The safety of the crew comes first, so weather can move a date.
Where are the lights stored after takedown?
- Everything is removed during January and stored at Green's own facility, so you do not need to clear space in a garage or an attic.
Can Green's light more than the roofline?
- Yes. Porches, columns, trees, shrubs and planting beds are wrapped or lit as part of the same install and are quoted with the roofline rather than separately.
Commercial lighting questions
Does Green's install lighting for businesses and commercial properties?
- Yes. Storefronts, offices, entrances, signage, walkways, trees and common areas are all part of the commercial work, for businesses, commercial properties and communities across Middle Tennessee.
- Explore commercial lighting
Does commercial lighting have to be seasonal?
- No. A business can have a permanent system that stays installed year round, a seasonal Christmas display, or both. Which one fits is part of what the walkthrough settles.
How are commercial lighting projects priced?
- At the property. Access, working height, operating hours and the lighting scope change a commercial job more than the size of the building does, so the quote follows a walkthrough rather than a phone call.
Can the installation be scheduled around business hours?
- Scheduling is part of what the walkthrough covers. Green's looks at access, working height, customer and employee traffic and the hours the work can happen in before the installation is planned, so the project is built around how the property operates.
